We are thrilled to annouce that gallery artist Alexis Pye has been selected as one of the three resident of Lawndale Artist Studio Program (ASP) for the 2022-2023 season. Artists Alexis Pye, Verónica Gaona, and Chelsea Clarke together comprise Round 16, the sixteenth cohort of artists aprticipating in the program since 2007. The three were chosen from a competative pool of more than 150 applicants from the Houston and greater Gulf Coast region.
From September 2022–May 2023 each artist will be provided studio space, a monthly stipend, a yearly budget for project development and materials, as well as professional support and opportunities to exhibit. Round 16 participants were selected by a panel that included Bria Lauren (2017/2018 Artist Studio Program participant), Sterling Allen (Lawndale Advisory Board Member), and Anna Walker (Executive Director, Lawndale).
