Untitled Houston 2026: JooYoung Choi

Inman Gallery is pleased to returnn to Untitled Art, Houston, taking place October 1–4, with a solo person booth of new and recent work by Houston-based artist JooYoung Choi.

Astro-futurist world builder JooYoung Choi (b. 1982/1983 Seoul, South Korea) documents the interconnecting narratives of a highly structured, expansive fictional land called the Cosmic Womb. Choi's complex and thoughtful interdisciplinary projects merge the autobiographic with the fantastic to form a dynamic, heartfelt, and imaginative aesthetic practice. Guided by this narrative, Choi explores themes such as anti-racism, gender inclusivity, trans-racial adoptee rights, post-traumatic growth, and spirituality rooted in social justice. 

The Fair, featuring 90 galleries from diverse locales, will take place at the George R Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. For more information and fair programming, see their website.

JooYoung Choi received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and her MFA from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
