Holiday 2010 - Inman Gallery suggestions

We are excited to be able to recommend our very own Inman Gallery store. A new retail experience, only about 10 square feet (I actually didn't measure), it includes catalogues by featured artists and a selection of artist multiples, including a crazy new multiple by the inimitable Bill Davenport, illustrated below.

Patrick keeps returning to this quiet work by Carl Suddath we featured in an exhibition entitled "Looking At the Sun" this fall.

He says: " I like the slow read of this piece by Carl Suddath. It's kind of like a lot of things, but the careful selection of materials and placement make it a lot more than just those things. It feels out-of-the-way, but super present."
Carl's next solo exhibition will open Saturday January 15th, 2011.

Will recently bought an Abe Storer painting for himself. He likes the references Abe makes to American greats like Fairfield Porter and also appreciates the artist's affinity for nature.

Lori has been hoping that someone would buy her the Yuko Murata monograph from the gallery store. Published this year in Japan, it surveys 10 years of the artist's work, and features an essay in English and a lot of gorgeous close-ups of Yuko's juicy paintings of landscapes and animals.

Kerry is totally thrilled about this new edition from artist Emily Joyce.
If you saw her September show at the gallery, you saw the large scale unique screenprints she produced with the master printer, Maggie White Lomelli. Emily realized this editioned piece during the same period. While there are 24 in the edition, each one has a different color combination.
