Marc Swanson (b. 1969, Connecticut, raised in New Hampshire) currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Swanson graduated with an MFA from the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College, NY in 2004. He has exhibited around the country since his inclusion in the inaugural Greater New York at PS1 in 2005, including solo exhibitions at the St. Louis Art Museum, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, and most recently, the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston (summer 2011). Important group exhibitions have included The Spectacular of Vernacular, Walker Art Center (traveled to CAM Houston summer 2011), Between Spaces, MOMA/PS1, New York, among others.

Midnight Sun, the artist's first solo exhibition with the gallery, was on view at Inman Gallery from July 8 - August 20th, 2011.

Inman Gallery will present a series of new work by Marc Swanson at the UNTITLED Art Fair, Miami Beach, December 3 - 8th, 2013, in a two-person curated booth with artist Dario Robleto.
